Shepherds Bush Removals

Most people are familiar with Shepherds Bush from negotiating the one way system around Shepherds Bush Green, sometimes known as Shepherds Bush Common. This 8-acre island of green in an otherwise built up area, is surrounded by shops and has Westfield at its north west extreme.

On the south side of the Green you will find a smaller shopping centre, West 12, with a supermarket, cinema and gym. Along the main thoroughfares in the area – Uxbridge Road, Goldhawk Road and Askew Roadall – there are a large number of small and mostly independent shops, many of which are ethnic, along with pubs and ethnic restaurants.

Many people only know Shepherds Bush as a place they visit for entertainment. The Bush Theatre on the green has an international reputation for discovering, nurturing and producing work from new writers from the widest range of backgrounds. The Shepherds Bush Empire, once home of the BBC Television Theatre, is now a music venue, and has played host to many famous rock stars, including David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan. Bush Hall, nearby in Uxbridge Road, is a venue for new talent. Nick Cave, Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen all appeared there early in their careers.
